The York Fuel Oil Filter is a compact inline filtration unit designed for oil-burner fuel supply systems. The filter helps remove dirt, rust, scale and other solid contaminants from the fuel before the fuel reaches the burner pump and nozzle.
The filter features a durable metal head with opposed threaded pipe connections for inline installation. A transparent lower bowl allows convenient visual inspection of the fuel condition, filter element and accumulated contamination without immediately opening the housing.
The cylindrical internal filter element provides a large filtration surface for maintaining clean and consistent fuel delivery. The lower bowl can be removed to provide access to the filter element during routine cleaning and maintenance.
A top-mounted bleed screw supports air removal during installation and after filter servicing. The hexagonal retaining fastener secures the filter assembly and helps maintain a firm seal between the metal head and transparent bowl.
Effective fuel filtration helps protect the burner pump, pressure regulator, solenoid valve and nozzle from contamination. It can reduce blocked nozzles, restricted fuel flow, unstable combustion and burner lockouts caused by dirty fuel.
The York filter is suitable for compatible LDO, diesel, kerosene and light-fuel-oil systems used with oil burners, heating boilers, steam boilers, furnaces, industrial ovens, hot-air generators and thermic-fluid heaters.
The filter should be installed vertically with the transparent bowl facing downward and positioned in the fuel supply line before the burner pump. Regular inspection and cleaning help maintain unrestricted fuel flow and reliable burner performance.
