The Riello 40 FS5 is a compact, single-stage forced-draught natural gas burner designed for hot-water boilers, steam boilers and light industrial heating applications. The burner provides a heat-output range of 23 to 58 kW, equivalent to approximately 20,000 to 50,000 kcal/h.
The FS5 forms part of the Riello 40 FS series of automatic monoblock gas burners. It operates from a single-phase 230 V, 50 Hz electrical supply and incorporates a fan, electric motor, adjustable air damper, combustion head, ignition electrodes, ionisation probe and flame-stability components.
A microprocessor-based burner control box provides automatic operating control and diagnostic functions. The adjustable air-pressure switch helps ensure burner lockout if adequate combustion airflow is not available, while the ionisation probe monitors the presence of the flame.
The Riello 40 FS series has been developed with emphasis on reduced operating noise, straightforward installation, convenient combustion adjustment and compact dimensions. These characteristics allow the FS5 to be matched with a wide variety of compatible boilers and heat-generating equipment.
Typical applications include hot-water boilers, steam boilers, industrial ovens, hot-air generators, furnaces and other light industrial process-heating systems. The burner is designed and tested in accordance with the EN 676 standard for forced-draught gas burners.
Burner selection, gas-train sizing, boiler compatibility checks, installation, electrical connection, commissioning and combustion adjustment must be performed by qualified personnel. The burner nameplate, official Riello technical manual and applicable local gas and electrical regulations should always be checked before installation.
