Product overview
Details that help confirm the fit.
The DUNGS MVDLE 205 is an electrically operated, normally closed gas safety shut-off valve designed for commercial and industrial gas burners and combustion equipment.
When the solenoid is not energised, the valve remains closed and prevents gas from passing to the burner. Applying the rated electrical supply opens the valve gradually, while removing electrical power closes the valve in less than one second.
The slow-opening mechanism reduces the rate of gas admission during burner start-up. This supports smoother ignition and helps reduce pressure shock within the burner gas train.
An adjustable initial-lift mechanism controls the start-gas volume released during the opening sequence. The initial flow can be adjusted from zero to approximately 70% of the total flow, corresponding to an adjustment range of up to 35% of the valve stroke.
The valve also incorporates adjustable maximum-flow control. This allows the main gas volume to be matched with the burner capacity during commissioning and combustion adjustment.
The MVDLE 205 uses a 1/2-inch NPT threaded connection and is rated for a maximum operating pressure of 200 mbar. The valve is designed for continuous electrical duty and closes rapidly if power is interrupted or the burner controller initiates a safety shutdown.
Typical applications include forced-draught gas burners, commercial and industrial boilers, steam boilers, hot-water boilers, furnaces, industrial ovens, hot-air generators, radiant-tube heaters and process-heating equipment.
The complete valve reference must be used when ordering because supply voltage, frequency, electrical enclosure and optional position-indication accessories differ between versions. Installation, adjustment, leak testing and burner commissioning must be performed by qualified personnel.
Model, voltage, rotation, pressure range and mounting can vary. Final compatibility is confirmed against the nameplate or existing component.
